Chantilly Cream

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, cold (ensure it has at least 35% fat)

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla bean paste

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar, sifted

Directions

  1. Place the cold heavy cream into a large, chilled bowl, along with the vanilla bean paste and sifted powdered sugar.

  2. Using a whisk (by hand or with an electric mixer), beat the cream until soft peaks begin to form.

  3. Be careful not to overwhip the cream, as it can cause it to split and become grainy.
