Easy French Toast
Ingredients:
4 slices of thick-cut white bread (or brioche)
4 eggs
1/4 cup milk of choice (I used organic whole milk)
1.5 tablespoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons butter
Optional Toppings:
Fresh berries tossed in a little granulated sugar
Powdered sugar
Maple syrup
Directions:
Slice your bread into four thick pieces and set aside.
In a shallow bowl or deep plate, whisk together the eggs and milk. Add the cinnamon and sugar. Whisk again until everything is fully combined.
Heat a large skillet over low to medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt, swirling it around to coat the bottom.
While the butter is melting, dip both sides of the bread slices into the egg mixture, ensuring they’re well coated.
Place two slices into the skillet at a time and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
Remove the cooked slices and place them on a plate. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the skillet and repeat with the remaining two slices.
Top with your desired toppings, like fresh berries, powdered sugar, maple syrup, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
